PHP Container Migration Engineer – Contract – London
A long established institution in the Higher Education sector are seeking an experienced PHP Developer with extensive experience in PHP container migrations.
- The position will provide vital assistance in migrating workloads from on-prem to the cloud.
- You will support with any issues moving between PHP version, specifically PHP 5.3 to PHP 8.3.
- Help the onboarding support throughout the migration to provide an efficient work streams.
- Work closely with the wider team throughout the discovery phases
The Requirements
- Practical experience with load balancing, preferably F5/Cloudflare
- Practical web hosting experience with Apache, PHP tomcat, AWS
- Practical experience with managing SSL certificates
- Senior Linux system admin experience and understanding of technologies like BIND DNS, SMTP.
- Practical skills with container management, lifecycles, ECS
- Practical skills with terraform
- Experience with migrating workloads from PHP5.3 to 8.3
- Full UK Right to Work required – No sponsorship options available
The Overview
- Initial 3 month contract
- £420 per day – Inside IR35
- Hybrid role: 2 days onsite
