Senior PHP Developer

Reports to: CTO

At Chargehive, we’re proudly driving down the cost of revenue operations for subscription-based SaaS companies. We build software to enable subscription management, intelligent billing collection cycles and automated global tax calculations.

Responsibilities:

● Backend Development:

○ Maintain and enhance existing PHP codebase.

○ Lead the migration of monolithic PHP applications into microservices architecture.

○ Develop new features and functionalities using PHP and/or Golang. ○ Collaborate with frontend engineers to integrate APIs.

○ Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code.

● Technical Expertise:

○ Stay up-to-date with the latest backend technologies and trends. ○ Proactively identify and address technical debt.

○ Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback. ○ Mentor other backend engineers.

● Problem Solving:

○ Troubleshoot and resolve backend issues.

○ Analyze and optimize application performance.

○ Work independently and take ownership of tasks.

○ Be adaptable and capable of taking on new backend frameworks and technologies as needed.

Requirements:

● Strong proficiency in PHP.

● Experience with Golang is a plus.

● Proven ability to build scalable and efficient backend applications.

● Excellent attention to detail and a passion for clean code.

● Experience with Payment Processing and PCI compliance is a major plus.

● Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

● Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
