POSITION DESCRIPTION:

Position Title: Sr. PHP Web Developer [On-Site/Full-Time]

Reports To: Web Development Manager

Classification:  Full-Time/Exempt/Salaried

POSITION OVERVIEW:

The Sr. PHP Web Developer is dedicated to the art of programming and can immediately contribute to our fun and rapidly expanding business. A Senior Web Developer for Range USA writes clean, optimized code to a high standard, in a timely and scalable way that improves the code base of our products.

This position will focus on improving integration between various systems and databases (backend), as well as assisting with customer-facing properties (frontend). The qualified candidate will work with the Web Development Manager to develop solutions and applications from concepting/brainstorming to final testing and deployment.

Be prepared to present a portfolio or repository of your work. This is an in-person, full-time, on-site position in Cincinnati, Ohio. [No contract-to-hire, no remote]

JOB DESCRIPTION:

• Follows industry best practices to produce clean, well-designed, and secure code
• Produces detailed specifications and system models for new solutions
• Troubleshoots, tests, and maintains the core product software and databases to ensure strong optimization and functionality
• Contributes during all phases of the development lifecycle, taking input and feedback from various departments and stakeholders
• Develops and deploys new features, modules, and systems when necessary
• Mentors junior team members to develop skills and usage of emerging technologies

• Must have proven software application development experience in Laravel and Vue (5+ years)
• Knowledge of Github version control and how/why it is used
• Good knowledge of relational databases using MSSQL
• Demonstrable knowledge of writing SQL or eloquent queries
• Experience in common third-party platforms and APIs (AWS, Google, etc.)
• Experience using or writing restful API’s a plus
• Passion for best practices and process improvement
• Excellent communication skills and an adaptable, curious attitude
• Previous experience with content management systems preferred
• Firearms product knowledge is not required, but we are a gun-friendly workplace
